There is no point in paying.
He is practically no better than free copiers.
A different approach is required.
Technological shutdown of errors on problematic disks, structural analysis, and only then map reading is necessary.
Full subtraction is an extreme case when structures are not accessible. So the likelihood of killing a disk is quite similar, with such co-drivers it is much higher than for example DE.
There are comparisons:

I used ddrescue on the disk so it blocked and then restarted I think I brought the disk to its end by working on it. I did save the customer the necessary documents, and spent time and time on it. this firmware fix part is interesting to me in rap. and if i had some hw tool it would do less damage to the disk.

I think RapidSpar is an excellent imager for the computer shops it was designed for. It is simple to use, fast and comes with excellent tech support.

Can you tell if you have worked with disks that are not recognized by bios or linux. whether you were able to recover the data. Thanks in advance

Many times it is not possible to recover the data with drives that are not recognized in BIOS or Linux with Rapid Spar or even more advanced tools for that matter. Reason being is other underlying problems with the drive (mechanical, firmware, etc), that need to be addressed in order to get the drive in good enough working condition to begin the cloning process.

It all depends on the why the drive is not able to ID.

RapidSpar is not meant to be used for professional data recovery services as an alternative for PC3000. It was designed as a product to allow computer technicians to have a hardware imager that is better than the software programs available. It is to help technicians do a better job on cases that they can handle while giving them a tool to help them better assess a case and know when it is time to stop and pass it over to someone with more advanced tools and facilities.

Yes Yes.
Instead of doing right right away, cut the disk to the maximum.!

How many computer shops receive a drive from a client and immediate say, "we need to send off to a professional data recovery lab" without ever having plugged it in? Unless extreme cases, none.

How many computer shops would first connect the drive directly to their computer and attempt to mount the drive and copy the data off directly? Almost all of them.

How many computer shops would attempt to get a clone of the drive before making any logical recovery attempt? Very few.

With a RapidSpar, a technician can connect a patient drive and a drive for the clone (to be ready in a case when the drive is safe to clone) and then allow RapidNebula to do a quick diagnostic. Within a minute or two, the technician can know if it is possible to recover themselves or if it needs to go to a lab. Seeing that almost 100% of the drives sent to me were powered on for hours or days by previous recovery attempts, it seems unlikely that a quick test to confirm that a drive will ID and that all heads can read sectors will be more harmful than anything that they are already doing.

I'm tempted to buy Rapidspar. It's aimed at people like me who aren't professional data recovery companies but know a bit about the process (or more importantly, know what they can't or shouldn't do). Trouble is after catching that bloody virus a couple of months ago (only a bit of flu but it takes longer to recover in your 50's than it did when I last had the flu 30 odd years ago) my business has declined dramatically. The UK lockdown has really affected the number of calls I'm getting.Too little work coming in to buy any equipment and not enough money to invest in a bit of advertising to try and boost trade..

I have been lucky to be able to use DDI4 a few ago and it was great and I know their support is very good (unlike MRT Labs who seem to have disappeared like a Pangolin in a Chinese wet market) which is why I would trust Rapidspar if I go down that route..

I haven't had a chance to use any of the Hw devices currently there is no service to deal with seriously. some offer a service but actually send disks to serbia. So while everyone earns the price goes up and in more cases the customer gives up at the start. they are too greedy. they want to make money as a service that repaired the disk.

I'm starting to think that MRT might be a better option in terms of both payment and device capabilities. This job would not be interesting without learning new things. but here I was running away from it because they say it's bugy and support is lacking. That is why we should ask smarter and more experienced colleagues.

The support from mrt labs is terrible. I don't think they will be around for much longer. It is affordable if you only pay for the months you use it though and the up front cost is low.

To Cut The Story Short Rapidspar Is No Match For MRT ,

Has the support improved from what it was? It used to take ages to get a reply when I was using it.
Have you made anymore videos about MRT Ultra for YouTube? I'd be interested to see some if you have the time..

With the support of MRT, I read that everyone complains on the forums, it is not clear to me how they have not realized so far that they need to be quick on this issue. I sent them an email about the price and the method of sending they did not respond for 34 hours

MRT communication for sales works best on Skype. Keep in mind they have been in quarantine, too, and just a couple of weeks ago getting back into the flow of things.

I highly recommend Rapidspar because I use both MRT and Rapidspar. It's like a two stage approach for a small repair shop. With the latest firmware update, Rapidspar does a lot. It's diagnostics with Rapid Nebula is not bad. It gives you a decent diagnostic report with a half decent head condition report and can do software repair on the fly. Up to yesterday, I worked on a Seagate drive with Translator issue and MRT couldn't fix the issue. Rapidspar repaired it in less than a minute and I was imaging within flying colours. You can also create headlamps with Rapidspar and this works well for isolating bad heads.

MRT does things like PCB repair and Head Swap among other things that Rapidspar can't do and that amounts for about 30 - 50 percent of cases depending on the drive model. The advantage of using MRT is that it has a monthly payment plan with an initial investment of about $ 500 USD. I only recharge my MRT when Rapidspar can't perform a repair.

MRT sucks for service and support but their tool does about 80 percent of what PC3000 does and everyone knows that PC3000 is king. There are lots of videos on MRT repair that you can learn yourself and HDD guru has some excellent info in which you can learn even more. Everyone crawled before they walked so Rapidspar is an excellent tool for you to start crawling. They new USB add-on is another excellent tool and pushes it even further in terms of capabilities.

I'd say go for it and add on MRT if possible and you're good to go. The DE imaging tool from MRT is first class and fast as ever. No need for Deepspar. Another plus. Good luck with your decision and BTW, support for Rapidspar is first class.

It would be nice to get my hands on a PC3000 PDF user manual if anyone is kind enough. It would make my experience using MRT a pleasure and I don't have to deal with "Hinglish" :)
