HDD Raw Copy Tool speed limits

Hello everyone,

I am using HDD Raw Copy Tool to backup my encrypted 2Tb HDD once in a while. It's awesome ! (Even if it reads HDD serials a bit wrong)

I have noticed a schockingly constant speed of 49MB/s when doing the copy. So it takes 11 hours per copy.

What's even more schocking is that this speed is the same when the second HDD is plugged into a SATA III port directly on the motherboard, as well as on a SATA USB3.1 external dock.

Both drives are SATA III with the correct cables.

Is this a hardware limit ? A software limit ?

I don't use this tool, but I notice that the Low Level Format tool has a 50MB/s speed limit in free mode.
