Post subject: | WDR Demo on 64-bit Windows 7 Ultimate |
Greetings, I saw on HDD Oracle an article about WDR Demo. I noticed that it requires a 32-bit Windows OS, which Windows XP would work for sure, in addition to having admin access. However, this is the PC I'm using for HDD repair: Attachment: I don't have any other PCs that has a spare SATA port or slot(s) for a SATA adapter, and runs on a 32-bit Windows OS. When I checked out the program's properties, I noticed a section on Compatibility mode. Would compatibility mode still allow the program to run and if so, which compatible OS should I run the program in? Windows XP (Service Pack 3)? Attachment:

WDR doesn't work on Win x64 bit systems. You need install x86 system. |

I can’t trick WDR into working on Windows 7 Ultimate x64? I’m asking mainly about compatibility mode with WDR. |

Yes, forget about that compatibility mode, especially on x64 for programs that want x32. I can't remember if that mode once for me. Another approach would be a bootable x32-windows on a stick or external disk. I have done that in the past (and prefilled with my diagtools), but I don't know if the methods today are better. BartPE project is dead: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BartPE https://nu2.nu/pebuilder/ Don't know if that's any good or supprts x32: https://www.easyuefi.com/wintousb/ Dirty hacks: https://itstillworks.com/how-to-install ... 10036.html Useful tools: https://rufus.ie (has windows-to-go-mode), also it should run .wim oder .vhd https://www.ventoy.net/en/index.html can run .vim .vhd |
