I've got 3 hard disk drives that was in a LaCie 5big Network 2 NAS customer device. RAID 5 with the xfs file system was built on the disks. This NAS failed, and I need to recover data from those drives. I've removed these drives and connect it to Windows PC. I need to convert the disc into something that Windows can read. Advise how to do it better.

UFS explorer should be a good choice for this.

Thanks for the advice.
I have heard about UFS Explorer and will definitely test it.
I have already googled and found another program that according to the description can help me recover data from my raid array - Hetman RAID Recovery.
If there is any result, I will write.

This is one of the worst ways to advertise software. In fact, this should be done with at least 2 people. One asks, and the second answers. Then this will at least look a little like an answer. And this is stupid advertising. And yes, admins, you should close this thread as spam.

I don't understand why you made such conclusions?
That is, to recommend and use UFS Explorer, then not spam? And if you want to use some other tool, that's spam. Somehow illogical.

What you did happens to be a very common shill trick:

Dude 1: "I have problem P .. Recommend me tool" ..

Dude 2: "Try tool X" ..

Dude 1: "Thanks, but I used tool Y instead" ..

Now Dude 2 could be a shill too, but since in this case he recommended a tool that is commonly used and recommended by data recovery folks he probably is not.

Anyway, you found some tool that does what you want, all by yourself. This begs the question, why come here ask for help in the first place and then ignore the advice given.

Other option: we're too paranoid.

I understand that it’s your tradition to try to make everyone look like idiots, but understand, these people here are far from stupid and see everything very well. So yes, create a new profile with the name valeryM2007 (so that no one will guess that it is you) and try again.

And yes, not sure for described case, but Raise Data Recovery (for $34.95) may build some RAIDs automatically and recovery data from XFS partitions.

Valera, you can also try Recovery Explorer RAID (for only 80 euros), it is ideal for a small budget. You asked what is available for data recovery from RAID.

It seems that google identifies your email as being connected to Hetman. So, why the deception?

Ah yes! Same tactic for example here, ask question and answer yourself how you fixed it using Hetman: https://www.ifixit.com/Answers/View/825 ... xel+NAS542. Seems like we got ourselves a shill here. Iurii was right.

ValeryM .. could it be CEO, Valery Martyshko? See https://hetmanrecovery.com/about.htm

Why the sneaky tricks? Iurii makes it no secret he's representing SysDev, he just presents his tools, no tricks needed.

It's becoming a common means to spam that type of software, once one of them starts doing it they all follow. I highlighted a few users doing it on reddit last week for other spammy software developers.

I read this correspondence. And it didn't cause anything but a smile on my face. :)

Many of you use this forum to promote some software. Then write your own cases or advice on recovering data from an XFS disk in response to my question. Convince me and those who will read this topic that you are right: that your software can help in this situation, or offer your solution. Perhaps readers will learn something new and find something useful on this topic.

Instead, you write anything other than what was asked. Looking for tricks in every word. You are looking for information about the author all over the Internet.

You say that I am trying to make idiots of you: but I get the opposite impression.
What is the point of a forum where discussion is impossible?

What was so spammy that I wrote? Wrote a program name other than the one you are promoting? I did not put any links and did not encourage anyone to buy anything! And many of you have done just that.

I wrote to the administrator of this forum with a request to delete this topic. I hope he satisfies it.
