Hi,

could anybody share with me experiences about using Media Tools vs. diydatarecovery.nl DiskPatch (v2 or even better new version 3)?

BTW: Here you can get Media Tools for 357.-USD.

Thanks.

Media tools is definitely better then DiskPatch.
Disk patch has no direct access to the IDE controller, therefore you
can only use it if the drive is recognized in the BIOS. A Media tool also has some more nice features which make it allot more superior then DiskPatch.

Another tool you could look into is COPYR.DMA
I am not sure if it has all of the functionality that Media tools has but it definitely is superior to Disk Patch and provides direct access to the hard drive by bypassing the bios.

hope this helps
