Dear guys, I'm new here, nice to meet you all, but 1st sorry for my bad english...
I own an Hitachi Travelstar HTS721060G9AT00 2.5" 60GB hard disk drive fitted into a Cypress 3.5" USB 2.0 enclosure by using a 2.5" to 3.5" adapter and an adapted iron plate to fix.
On the main chip on the little Pcb of the enclosure I can read CY7C68300A-56PVC ... Cypress AT2+ I think?!?
The weird is that I'm not able to turn the write cache on in 'Policies' under 'System', 'Hardware' in WinXP SP2, I'm currently using the 5.16 drivers for WinXP from Cypress internet site.
Before I used an ExcelStore Technology J880 3.5" hard disk in this enclosure and the cache writing on was very impressive!
Can you help me providing an easy way to turn high performance on with my actual configuration?
TIA for all your replies, best regards from Italy, sincerely Stefano.
