I'm following in this days this tv show called "numb3rs", it's a bit old and probably many of you have already seen it, but i've discovered this serie just 1 month ago (it's playing on the italian tv in this days).
Today they've shown some magics with hard drive, i've found this funny scene on youtube

Maybe if she plugged in the power as well it would boot! and disk isn't spinning, lucky she found the sectors by Majic
I think Salvation Data sell those wands

I don't get it. The show's producers made it a rule to use mathematicians as consultants in order to avoid gibberish, so where were the technical consultants for this episode?

LOL. She has the good sense to scan the platters (of the smashed drive, with her finger pints all over the platters now) "read-only."

This one makes the most sense, once you remove the cover and expose the platter you can use your phone's camera to take a snapshot of the data.
