The suffix is different. This means they belong to different families, Apollo versus Giant. They have 6 and 8 heads, respectively, so the 6-head model would appear to be more recent. https://support-en.wd.com/app/warrantystatus WD40EZRZ-22GXCB0 APOLLO 5400 64M SATA3 6GB/S 4.0 TB 6HD SECOND TIER OEM WD40EZRZ-00WN9B0 GIANT 5400 64M SATA3 6GB/S 4.0 TB 8HD STD |

MNijbracht wrote: What does STD mean. Like in standard or retail version? Probably. Note that "00GXCB0" would be the retail version, whereas "22GXCB0" would be an OEM version. "GXC" is the family code. See http://www.acelab.ru/dep.pc/doc.pc3000dos/060713.001/WD-main-N-2.pdf (Russian)
GXC = family identifier B0 = customer configuration code |
