alrighty, i hope i got that secondary number right. am trying to fix this drive for a friend. its a SATA drive and one of the gold prongs on the PCB broke off. The drive is part of a RAID and now her comp wont boot all the way up. I have searched high and low for either a HDD compatible with this one so that i can swap or where in the halibut can i find just PCBs for sale or logic boards or whatever you may call them. the DCM is H8BANT2AHN...now this is just the info given to me. the S/N is wcank636082.

on the PCB itself is a sticker with the following info(this is how she emailed it to me):
2061 - 701385 - B0(MAYBE ANOTHER 0) 0 A O (OR Q) XS 2V25 32VK 5 000 1290 7291

Maybe the damage to the PCB can be repaired, might be worth posting a photo here.

Try www.firmwarefinder.com, I see they have several PCBs for HAWK family. At least one should work for you, assuming you are going to transfer ROM. Straight swap will not work.

If the drive is part of a RAID0 (stripe) and the other drive is identical (i.e. out of the same box) then you "may" get lucky enough to get the PCB from the good drive to work on the bad drive.

In which case I suggest imaging the good drive to another good drive (and by imaging I mean a complete 100% sector image, not ghost or similar, use CopyR or Media Tools pro) then try the good PCB on the bad drive, then you will have a complete R0.

If not then you need another 701385 PCB and transfer the ROM chip from the bad PCB, as the ROM contains adaptive data for the drive.
