EXTREMELY unlikely for a light knock to cause the PCB to fail!

Much more likely for it to cause internal problems.

Not DIY, seek pro assistance.

I say again, this is NOT "logic damaged" as you appear to want it to be :-(

Sorry.

It is very likely you have some serious mechanical failure which can not be resolved logically or electrically and 99% cannot be resolved without professional assistance.

Look at markings on PCB and HDD with X seems like he has had this seen by someone who marked this. Not normal he would do this himself. Seems someone marked it and already tried a controller board. I have seen here from IT shops that when they try and swap out controller board they mark thier HDD with an X so they can tell which one they are working on. IT shops here only try a PCB swap out and mark the client drive and PCB with X so they can put it back together again after they try all the PCB they have in thier shop from other drives. Could be wrong on this one but seems that he has tried a PCB already and did not make it work right with donor PCB.

He should contact BlackST in Italy on this one agree it is internal to the HDD.

I agree, definitely not a simple cheap fix...internal issues, for sure. BlackST is my Italian recommendation.

what happen if i buy an identical hd (only difference being last twodigits on the pcb, evertyhing is the same)that i saw on ebay, and replace the "discs" inside the newly bought hd with the the one that doesn0t want to start?since this all pcb thing is complicated because it must be exaclty the same, and since probably is not the pcb itselfr,i wanted to this operation and aks if it works.after all im just replaceing the disks inside the hd,not messing with pcb, bioses etc.i went to a professional company that told me somwething similar, except it will cost 700 euros, wich is WAY beyond my money availability.and i should buy that hd on my own anyway...

The chances of you successfully doing that, considering the knowledge, equipment etc. that are required, is approximately zero - and you will likely cause problems / damage that will prevent even a professional from later recovering your data, even if you then paid the money. :( Please read again the comments from pcimage (and other professionals) above.

That you'll have 2 broken disks and lost data and money.

No professional DR company will make you buy that HD on your own. They can not do this one becasue one the drive might be compatable with yours and then you have spent money you did not need to spend. Two a professional DR company finds their own donor parts. I would not go to this company if they asked you for a new disk and for you to get it for them.

Also this problem is not a platter swap. You do not need to swap out platters on this one. I have one in here that is doing the same as yours. I think after re-reading your first post the bump into the wall and especialy if it was running has maybe stuck heads to the platters. I can not be sure from what you say on this one but this can happen easily.

Even if you swap out platters you will never get back your data. I see here BlackST has posted answer him and try and make contact. If you want a professional in Italy go to him. If you want back your important data go to him. That is all I can say on this one now.

If it's possible, you have LESS than zero chance of successfully transferring the "disks" from one drive to another and getting it to work. Moreover it would be like fitting wheels to a tomato, completely pointless!!

700 euros is cheap for this kind of job, so if you are not prepared to spend that the either wait until you are or say "ciao" your data.

Sorry to be harsh, but this is the fact of the matter.

Hi, you're discs is not to be replaced...as you're information is on them.
But you're bump might caused the bearing to sized, and you're platters is need to be moved to a good chassie.
BlackST is you're best choise in Italy, and for I know it might not cost you €700..It migth be cheaper than you think.
You might evalue it.

Regards
Bosse
