 Post subject: WD20EARS With a mild attitude problem.

Drive came in, clicking. ( Unsure if its been dropped ) - Probably has

anyway , head swap went well and 0,1,2,3,4 are just fine.

I can't read anything from H5, nothing, zip , nada.

Micros are fine , Head map , and donor are good.

any ideas chaps? , not tried these heads back in donor, getting what I can just in case.

happens from time to time. On some swaps i can get only certain heads to read so i image em and do another swap to image the rest. Apparently it was a SOP with Zeus drives =) ( had a few successes with them using up to 4 donors on a single drive )

Hello buster80, I am having problems with the same WD20EARS 2TB harddrive, see my topic at: not-recognized-harddrive-t22923.html . My harddrive is not being recognized. Do you think swapping the head will help in my situation? Or do you think i should first replace the pcb, to see if this works?
Do you know a good tutorial which will help me with my situation?
