Have this drive that i need to recover, old Samsung SV0602H. Was in an external housing. Power on through Insight and I get a ticking noise coming from PCB and a corresponding spoke in the 5v and 12v rail. Insight says short circuit. Makes the same noise if its just the PCB on its own with the rest of the drive detached.

Anyone have any experience with this drive and likely fault? Dont have matching PCB in stock unfortunately.

Ignore that. Was the insight deciding there was a short and cutting power to it.... Doesnt seem to like some older IDE drives
