Hi all,

I posted the below request on the 8.3.13, but disappointingly no one has come forward with a response..

So I thought I might try again?

Maybe it's a fruitless cause, but hey ho, I'll give it another go..

If anyone has a minute and the kindness to help..

Just wondered if anyone could post some Crystal Mark data on a Seagate 500gig sata 600 drive.

Was interested to see a comparison to the data I got...

CrystalDiskMark 3.0.2 x64 (C) 2007-2013 hiyohiyo
Crystal Dew World : http://crystalmark.info/--------------- ... ----------

* MB/s = 1,000,000 byte/s [SATA/300 = 300,000,000 byte/s]

Sequential Read : 117.068 MB/s
Sequential Write : 110.726 MB/s
Random Read 512KB : 39.375 MB/s
Random Write 512KB : 55.137 MB/s
Random Read 4KB (QD=1) : 0.478 MB/s [ 116.6 IOPS]
Random Write 4KB (QD=1) : 0.575 MB/s [ 140.4 IOPS]
Random Read 4KB (QD=32) : 1.166 MB/s [ 284.8 IOPS]
Random Write 4KB (QD=32) : 0.576 MB/s [ 140.5 IOPS]

Test : 1000 MB [C: 54.8% (31.1/56.9 GB)] (x5)
Date : 2013/03/12 22:45:31
OS : Windows 8 Professional [6.2 Build 9200] (x64)
SATA III 500G Z68X-UD5 12.3.13

If for any reason this seems a stupid request or I am being an unintentional idiot I would welcome the feedback.

Cheers. :) :) :)

For a start, you didn't post a model number.

In any case it would probably be easier to find your information with Google.

Seagate also publishes product manuals which tell you the maximum sustained data transfer rate. That should be in line with your sequential read/write results.

I can't help you except to say that when I'm looking for comparative benchmark results I use the following Google Image search:
