I got 2 of these drives removed from HP SATA caddies, and I'd like to reuse them as USB drives.
These seem to have Write Cache disabled from factory, and I've noticed it can be temporarely reenabled under linux with HDPARM, or the HDAT2 utility.

Is there a known utility that would allow me to set it as enabled from spinup?

Can't seem to find such a thing for Fujitsu drives... only other manufacturers.

CAn you say us model, and identification data about drives?

If I recall correctly, Fujitsu hard drives use module 07 (cp07) to store different attributes and options.
Compare those modules in FWs from a generic drive and an OEM one of the same model.

I don't know if they are safe to use with MHZ models. In any case I would limit any experimentation to reading the ROM and modules, not writing them.

These 2 drives are mostly for fun/learning as they're barely usable (slow) without cache enabled.

I will read all that info before experimenting, but the greatest challenge will be finding a known good module to compare with.
