Hello! I was wondering if I should buy a Silicon power s60 120gb... The reviews are extremely good and it is rated 5 stars. This is my first SSD (i'm going from a HDD to an SSD). Is this a good buy, or should I get a Samsung 850 Evo for 20 dollars more?
Thanks!

In my mind, Silicon Power == Kingston. Nothing special about them. Samsung is what I would choose as well.

As far as I can tell, the Silicon Power has a Sandforce controller, which I wouldn't touch with the proverbial barge pole. :-(

FWIW, the 240GB version uses the SF-2281VB4-SPC controller.

Yes, Sandforce as I said.

What's your point? Or were you just elaborating?
