 Post subject: WD PCB damaged

Hi

PCB of this hdd damaged and BIOS integrated.
I replace PCB with PCB same part number but can not solve problem.
what can I do?

what tools you have ?
can you access SA with new pcb ?

ROM can be rebuild from SA.

If you have access to a PC-3000 you have two options.

1. Read the ROM via the Boot ROM Code utility (often works even for damaged PCBs)
2. Rebuild ROM from SA
