hi everyone,

this drive is detected by deepspar imager as drdy dsc but I don't hear any sound of platter spinning. when I do rescan it report correct model, correct serial no. but wrong lba. at the top, there is additional ERR and ABRT registers shown after rescan. even the time of rescanning, I also don't hear any sound of platter spinning. all the time I don't hear any sound of platter spinning. it's so weird. I have HD doctor for Seagate but it's too old. it cannot use with this drive model. it can't detected. I would like to know if it is both head and firmware problem. and please recommend me the solution. I am not sure if I change the head, the drive will work. please help me. thank you.

You need to use terminal
Code:
Ctrl + z (initiates the terminal connection and should prompt with level T>)
F3 T>m0,6,3,,,,,22
F3 T>i4,1,22 (clears G-List)
F3 T>/1
F3 1>N1,,22
F3 1>

Good luck

How would this work on a drive that isn't spinning?

It's not a "one size fits all" fix! :-(

If don't trust the machine, just use an external power supply along with MHDD to confirm spinning and status register.
