Hello guys,
As you know first was microSD (
https://forum.hddguru.com/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=35872), then SD (
https://forum.hddguru.com/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=36364) and now after over 6 months (exactly almost 8
) of hard work and many , many.... many hours spended on reverse engineering, proobing with LA, creating prototypes, testing we want to anounce officially that new series of
MR adapters for readign eMMC/eMCP memory over NAND was released !!!!What raster of eMMC / eMCP are supported (informaiton what are raster look below iun FAQ) Chips / Pinouts supported at the moment (pinouts / chips support are realised over sockets - check FAQ) FAQ:Q:
What are those and what for ???A: Adapters as a standard comes with pogo pins for connection with technological pins on eMMC or eMCP for choosed raster.
Q:
What is raster ? A: Raster it's localisation of technological pins on card - many cards can use same raster but doesn't mean that it will use same pinout. Similar as with microSD - there are cards that looks similar but using diffrent pinout.
Q:
OK - I know what is raster but how I can know which one for my card ?A: Thats why we are releasing sockets/pinouts that fits to exactly chip - for example if you will get Toshiba chip THGBMGBG7D2KBAIL you will know that you need adapter MR10 and pinout/socket 1 as shown here:
After this you will only put socket onto adapter and you can read as shown here:
Next sample ? Let's say you got IC H26M31001HPR which uses TYPE 8, pinout 2 socket like here:
So you will need take TYPE 8, pinout 2 socket from available 4 pcs of sockets for TYPE 8 eMMC
and simply attach into adapter, after installing for reading using VNR it will looks like this:
Simple as never been before
))
Q:
What are those for ?A: Adapters allows to solderless connection to demaged eMMC (by chipoff process, controller corruption, or mechanical demage) for data recovery using such tools as PC3000 Flash, Rusolut VNR or Soft Center Flash Extractor. In case
Q:
Can those be used in Forensic cases ?A: Yes - in case of demaged eMMC which are not initialized correctly, showing only 32Mb, got demaged CID or are dead you got nothing other that accessing data over NAND. Due this you will get access to Garbage Blocks and Unprovisoned Area which are not available for any forensic tool.
Q:
If I buy 1 of those are I able to recover my data ? You will help me ?A: Please note that our company offers adapters for solderless reading - we can help in case of settings for correct reading, connection issues but those adapters replace solderign only and give you READY PINOUUT configuration without need to use Logic Analyzer to find correct pinout. So it's first step to read contest of dead chip. Data recovery from monolith devices are more complicated that reading data over ISP or normal ChipOff. You will need to remove XOR (Wear leveling), fix ECC, assembly correctly image to get RAW which you can then use for see real data. If you are not familiar with those task contact us or any other company which works in flash recovery.
Q:
Where I can test ?A: You can visit our company to see them, test reading on your Chip withtou any problem - in few days we will add YouTube videos so you can watch readign process using diffrent NAND readers too.
Q:
Where I can buy them ?A: All those are available on our page on below links:
MR NAND adapters -

https://multi-com.eu/shrt-eMMC-NAND-socketsWhile we think that list of adapters will be static since cover 90% of chips used in Mobile Phones then list of sockets/pinouts will grows - soon new models
Q:
OK all clear... so will be there anything more ??A: Yes....... UFS
