I'm trying to extract a 1.57 TB IMGC file onto a 2 TB Western Digital Green hard drive.

I get the following error:
Operation terminated at offset 155,782,676,480 LBA 304,263,040
It fails every time at:
    8% Complete
    Current Sector: 304,328,576

I'm using a dual drive, USB enclosure, connected to a laptop via USB 3.0 cable.
I'm in the process of trying a different computer, as I type this message.

I have tried multiple hard drives (all are the same model drive / size)
I've tried formatting the hard drive (unchecked Quick format, hoping a more through format would help)
I've tried re-copying the IMGC onto the source drive multiple times

Any thoughts on how to resolve this issue?
Thanks in advance!

Hello,

i am wondering what your main purpose is coz:
- if it's to recover data, why tried formatting and writing back any data to it
- if it's to get it work again, why are you trying to image it.

quite confusing...

I'm extracting a shared file of data to a 2 TB drive.

It's to recover data; it's actually a shared file, so I'm not recovering as much as extracting for individual purposes - I tried to format it because it kept failing at the same spot on the drive; it was an attempt to make the drive (I know I shouldn't have to do that, but i was grasping for ways to possibly get it to work).

*** UPDATE ***
The PC that I was using last night, crashed with the same error "Operation terminated at offset", but at a different location than the laptop (the laptop crashed with the exact same message as listed in bold print above).

Last night, the PC crashed at 17%.
I just clicked Start when I saw it had crashed, and it started over.

As I type this message, it is at 57% complete. It has been running for 6.5 hrs, at approximately 49.0 MB/s. Hopefully it keeps chugging along.

I connected the SOURCE unformatted hard drive to my PC's internal SATA ports, and the image completed.

If someone is looking for assistance with this, I'd say stay away from the dual drive usb enclosures if you can.

Thanks for all that chimed in to help resolve this!
