Hello experts,

I've received this WD20SDZW-11JJ8S0 that does not mount correctly.

If i clone it on MRT / HDD superclone all heads read good, but they all read 00.

AFAIK this drive has a locked board and changing it to sata alone wouldn't help much.
Also, i've read online that the full read speed but only reading 00's mean that I have module 190 with some kind of issue.

I do not own PC3000 to apply an eventual firmware fix, usually I would outsource this, but this is my brothers drive.

Besides praying or buying PC3000, can you guys give me another sugestion?

Then, i'm afraid, your brother should outsource it.

this means heads don't read at all, you get zeroes from buffer.

These are pretty complex, so i recommend not messing with it.

In my experience with MRT, i've found that sometimes it writes zeros on destination drive sectors when it should write data.
It was not easy to notice this issue, when i got sospicious about this issue due to weird results. I verified it by comparing relative sectors on patient and i've confirmed that those sectors on patient drive were filled with data.

This issue happened only occasionally due to faulty chip on my MRT ATA 1 channel (where it was connected the destination drive).
I've reported this issue about 1 year ago
https://forum.hddguru.com/viewtopic.php ... 52#p278152

P.S.
I repaired my ATA 1 channel by replacing TPS2590 chip relative to 5V line control.

If you've notice also other type of issue with your mrt as drive doing infinite power cycling, or no drive spin at all, or weird register flags results, then you should check the 5V line on mrt port.

I had a similar issue a while ago.

However this is not the case, as pepe pointed out 00's is what I get from buffer, testes with HDDSuperClone and was the same thing.

I don't know anything about hdd superclone because i never used it, but if it is able to detect drives throught mrt port then it could still be the case.
Have you worked with hddsuperclone with drives attached to mrt port (example with patient drive in read emulating mode on OS)?

P.S.
I'm sorry, i didn't think about that hddsuperclone works only on linux, mrt software can be used only on windows.
Ok then, mrt port issue isn't your case here!
