It will be similar to other tools.
The problem with NVMe is that there aren't any firmware solutions to bypass BSY and translation issues, hence the low success rate for non-initializing SSDs.

Firmware issues aside, I can't justify the cost of pc3K portable for the number of case I get and it's limited coverage, so anything which improves the cobbled together system of adapters, relays and enclosures I use for nvme at present which doesn't require me to sell a kidney is always of interest.

In response to the NVMe port, let's look at the typicial scenarios (ignoring physically shorted boards and those with dead controllers)

SSD goes unresponsive within a microsecond - usually only recoverable with DeepSpar PCIe (DPI) using the double repower feature, if recoverable at all

SSD has translator load issue - only recoverable with PC3K Portable (if controller is supported and they have the correct loader)

SSD unstable and needs to be rewpowered frequently - doable with DPI or Portable, but also doable with the original Stabilizer and Stabilizer 10Gb. With the native NVMe port, one doesn't need to add the added instability of a separate USB adapter

Logical recoveries - DPI and Portable are expensive overkill and connecting directly to a system provides little to no write protection. With Stabilizer & Stabilizer 10Gb, you get the added write protection as well as the peace of mind knowing that you are ready when surprises happen

Will the NVMe port on Stabilizer 10Gb be the death of PC3000 Portable? Absolutely not. But, it fills in a fairly big hole for labs who want to be able to quickly assess an NVMe SSD and determine if it can be done in-house or if it needs to be sent out to a lab with DPI or Portable.

I, for one, welcome having an extra NVMe port for diagnosing an incoming NVMe when the port on my portable system is set to be tied up for weeks.

When it comes to NVMe SSDs, in terms of cloning, I believe the tools don't have a whole lot of superiority compared to one another. They are pretty even.

Would say DDI + SSD has the edge with the double power up feature, but an SSD in a condition requiring to work with that feature is likely going to take forever to clone and many times still have high degree of file corruption due to unreadable data.

So, in terms of revenue, still not drastically improving revenue.
