WD P10 Gamedrive (4TB, USB) - when connected, the LED lights up, the drive spins up, makes 6 clicks in equal interval, and then spins down. The drive has been used for 3+ years, used to make occasional clicking noises before too since the first year, and had been used to 50% (first year) to around 80-85% capacity till date.

I opened the protective covering to discover a WD40NMZW drive in it. The PCB is 2060-800041-003 Rev P1. Will replacing the PCB and transplanting the ROM Chip from the original board to the replacement board fix the issue?

Most probably heads are dead/ sufrace is damaged. Also this drive is encrypted by MCU so replacing PCB is not an option unless MCU is transfered too.
