Hi everyone,

I'm having an issue with my hard drives on Windows. As you can see in the attached screenshot, the drives show up as Local Disk (D:) and (F:), but they are not displaying their storage size or capacity bars underneath them.

Additionally, I noticed that drive D: has a yellow padlock icon on it (looks like BitLocker), even though I don't remember locking it. Because of this, I can't access my files properly.

Has anyone experienced this issue before or knows how to fix it so I can access my drives and see their capacities again? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Bitlocker is being used even with the home version of windows. Usually the key is stored on your microsoft account.

Your drive is degraded. It is reporting read errors, seek errors, and pending sectors. Your best DIY approach would be to clone it and then work on the clone.

That old disk is pretty much at the end of the road, so find a new disk and copy what you can
