Hello Friends,

I have seagate U series 5, model ST320413A; FW : 3.57, the problem is FAT copies are not identical, maybe 1st FAT is broken.
If I check with Norton Partition Magic 8.05 appear error message : partition table error 108 found MBR bad, critical 501 cross-linked file were found.
I try to repair this problem with Testdisk, Diskpatch, victoria, Check FW is oke, but the problem is the same.

How to repair this problem, please.

Thanks very much

Hello,

if U have important data on this partition, save it to a safe place (maybe U will need a logical recovery program). U have to choose a method that does not write to the disk at all, preferably with an option to select which FAT to use.
After saving I would recommend formatting the partition and copy back the needed data.
Trying to repair the damage may lead to loss of important files.

regards,
pepe
