Hi All,

Has anybody purchased anything yet from hdrconline.com ?

I was interested in buying some of their hardware for platter/head swap..etc but not sure to trust them. They only accept wire/money transfer.

They do not seem to look like a serious business but do seem to have some pretty cool 'toys' i would enjoy using to see if helps compared to the tools provided by Salvation data for platter swap..and the magnet tool too.

Anybody purchased from them? Any feedback?

Not yet. I saw them a couple of months ago. I'm thinking of buying the head replacement tool just to see how well it works.

That's ok, it looked like a joke to me too. Their tools like interesting and tempting. Anybody actually purchased from hdrconline.com ?

no i mean it looks to me like a joke because they show video in wich they replace heads on hdd and move them to center of the drive, and on that seagate 2,5 heads stand on the ramp on the side of the disk!!!

i happen to go to hdrc once when i was in delhi .The Reception was pathic ,Wosrt then a public toilet ,I happed to meet the boss and sonia the female that works there .I saw a large rack in the middle of that room with 2 to three computers at one side and a passage at the other leading me to a room.this room Was Empty ,With the director Smoking and smoking Sitting on a Shitty and filthy chair .i then started talking wiht the same and figured out that the software they sell is possibly made by someone else .,there were two rooms along with that passage and there is where the magic is clamied to happed "which actually never happens .".That female took my no as she wanted to learn PCI 2.27 from me i asked about salvation products and she replied that she did undergo training but actually did not understand anything.She says that only the maxtor tool works to and extend .So i guess you can go ahead with your purchase hee he hee

Hello Helpdisk,
Please could you email me the link to the video you are discussing here, our technicians always move the heads to the center of the disk and back again to ensure that the heads are aligned and not going to damage the platter when the drive is powered up, it also ensures we are aware the motor is not sticking . We take great care not to show everything in our videos as the DR world would just be plain angry, we do however have to show our products. If the drive was in fact a 2.5” drive then the heads would have been placed back on the loading ramp prior to powering on in the lab.
I have a feeling that the video you mention may actually be a 3.5” drive, until I know for sure I cannot confirm a honest answer for you. Please email me the link at gauravhdrc@yahoo.com

Wow these comments are just the best I’ve read so far on here, although I don’t happen to remember you attending our office. Are you sure it was me you met? I have met a few Amirbir’s and when I was told there were comments here at HDDGURU this was not what I expected.

My business partner informed me of all the comments here and I am absolutely amazed by yours, still everyone is entitled to their opinion. I thought for a moment I did know who you were but I must be totally mistaken, these words are not from the Amirbir I know.

Yes we do have a large rack in the room behind reception; we keep our stock of donor drives. My office is at the top end of that room near the window and I do smoke what of it, I certainly wouldn’t smoke in my clean room. My business partner has put some pictures up at his website to show what he saw when he was here. The opinion I get from him is quite different from yours are you sure it was our office you visited?

The ‘Magic’ room that you discuss is full of PC’s where we do our logical recovery, and at one end of that room we have sealed off our clean room. The clean room is where the Laminar Flow bench used in some of our videos at our website is located. Let us take you on guided tour of our premises…

I know nothing about the conversation regarding PC3000 so I cannot comment. Others can see we have more than three computers and I shouldn't have to be here defending my company against defamatory remarks and comments.

If you have something constructive to add Amirbir I would love to hear your opinions, and yes you too are also welcome at HDRC premises. I believe you really met many Guys like Amarbir, oen of those people who had fantasy about your company. That's why you forgot Amarbir so easily.

I can remeber sonia came to our office and get the free training, however, after the training we received alot complaints about you. As reseller in India, you never answered enquires from customers In India, that's why cancel your resellership. on this point, you are not professional, IMHP.

So, my first suggestion is : Resepct your customers and partners at least. I am so glad that you are not our partner any more.

Second, don't deny your shortcomings.As amarbir said, the chair is shitty, then just buy a brand new one. :

Third, you should pay for things you are trying to get. Amarbir has no commitment to teach anything. There is no free meal.

Fourth, from my experience, customers don't like officialism answers, they want problems solved.

Fifth, Amarbir is really a profession and smart freak, just let him be.

Gaurav Sinha, the photos you attached looks like you are ex-VHS video rental shop so messy , or did you get the rack shelving from bankrupted VHS rental shops?

If i were you i would not dare to post those images unless you room is white and clean like a professional DR room sorry....just a few thoughts....
