Hi Guys,

I have a WD400UE - 22HCT0. It has a fried pcb but I can't seem to find the offending chip. Disk has no response.

I have a few questions...

Does anyone know of a basic/standard fault with the PCB's of these disks? Maybe you could point to which chip needs replacing.

In order to swap PCB, is the information in the rom unique to this hard drive or can a exact match be used? I don't have one in stock at the moment so I'd rather know before I waste time and money looking for one.

If rom chip needs to be changed, can anyone point out where the rom is stored on these models?

I look forward to your response.

Thanks

Yes, this pcb has unique info.
If you show the photo from the pcb, i can help to you.

Did you measured the parts?

Janos
