One poster copied one of my posts and used it without changing a comma... on another forum where I am moderator... No comment! I had only a slight 'deja-vu' sensation...

I mostly trust those who develop rather than those who have cloned

I would guess so, but perhaps Doomer might confirm they are based on the same Seagate technology.

From the model number it sounds like it.

I can also confirm that the salvation fix works for the 7200.11 drive. A forum member sent me a broken drive and I was able to get it back online and retrieve his data. It did transfer REEEEEEAAALLLLY slowly though.

Thank you very much for the help drccsc.

Drccsc was nice enough to upload a very important file I needed from my hard drive within several hours of receiving the drive. After not being able to get the drive to be recognized in the Bios on several different computers, it was a relief to receive the help. Though out of respect for drccsc I will not share pricing details, his pricing is extremely reasonable.

If my drive wouldn't have been so slow to copy, I suspect that drccsc would have provided same day in and out service, which is outstanding. It appears that drccsc will send my drive out tomorrow and I should receive it Friday, which is phenomenal. At this point in time, I would highly recommend his services for these issues. I will post once again once I actually receive my backup drive back.

I just wanted to report back that drccsc fixed the firmware of my drive and imaged the drive onto another drive that I sent him. I was able to install that drive in my computer and function exactly as I functioned prior to my hard drive issues.
