Hi just for Info about this error.

Have this error in terminal.

Is this firmware 3.CAE? Have had a bunch with the same issue. On one of them the platters were so badly damaged that I could see right through BOTH of them to the bottom of the drive case. :shock:

We too have had no end of 3.CAE drives in, 120Gb & 16-Gb flavours. ]

Anyone have decent amount of success with these?

Anyone know where I can get a donor drive for my seagate momentus ST9120822as 3.cae wu?

That Died!

But the data look like it's there according the the recovery people. they just need donor heads

People should complain to Apple this is bad! So may have gone,

I had my back up drive die the week before in a G5 too!

Advice is much appreciated

Based on my experience with these drives, they are usually damaged beyond repair. 90% of them we have received had platter damage on the underside of the platter.
