 Good question to Atola gurus  Any ideas? He-he :D
Actually, I suppose this terminal message from PC3K UDMA terminal appears when heads are dirty. Sometimes when you see many symbols $ in terminal it caused with lost servolabels. But in this case I suppose better to perform PCB swap and look again in terminal.

Hi that´s what i did it.

Afther change the PCB the error is different.

Code:
Interface task reset
4096k x 16 buffer detected
MERCURY - 1_Disk    3.02  08-
Buzz  - 23-05 15:41
Head Mask FFFF - Switch to full int.
              Spin Ready
3.02  08-23-05 15:45
(P)PATA Reset
$$$$$$$Head Mask FFFF - Head Mask FFFF -

But i think is easy for the tool to read the terminal and know what is it.

13. Seagate Drives use a serial interface of which you can find online. It will show you stats on the drive. If you see FFFF mask FFFF mask it is a head error.
