Well, that's part of the fee we charge when we look for these parts for our clients. :)

Finding parts is lots of fun. I usually contact a bunch of sellers who are selling the particular generation of a drive with the exact parameters I need on a PCB. Sometimes I am lucky, in other cases I need to spend more time, money, or both.

Overnight shipping for wrong boards adds up quickly. Most established companies have quite a stack in-house.

Can anybody help me with the pcb board for Seagate 320Gbyte HD.

Model : ST3320620A
Part Number : 9BJ04G-305
Firmware : 3.AAE

My hard disk with the above spec has gone completely dead . I would like to try with a new pcb but can't find another HD with similar specs.

Can't afford data recovery specialist. So help me if yoy have HD with similar specs.

You need to know the exact specs (make and partnumber) of the main chip on the controller board, there is also a part number of the PCB printed on it. These have to match. Similar won't work, believe me!
There are tons of these HDD on ebay, at least on ebay Germany. I found one to fix mine on ebay, which took around 2 months and cost me 2 wrong HDD's (each 30 Euros) which were still cheap compared to the costs for a professional recovery.

As a said there are tons of these HDD, just have to find the right one.

good luck,

Tae

but what is that round part that is fried....guess this board itself cannot be repaired???

The round part is a 1.2uH inductor. It appears to be part of a switchmode regulator. If this is damaged, then anything downstream of the regulator may be damaged also.
