Hi to all hddgurs,

Have this disk with the LED problem.

Fix that, with the udma, now i can have ID, DRD DSC.

But this case when i start copy (green) i just could copy 6 400 xxx sectors.
The rest it give error,
If i change to read with no CRC Control i can have some data but is not OK.

Anyone have this issue after resolving the LED problem ?

Thanks
ZeBong

yes i have try this:

F3 T>m0,2,2,6,0,0,0,22
Max Wr Retries = 06, Max Rd Retries = 00, Max ECC T-Level = 00, Max Certify Rewrite Retries = 0000

User Partition Format Successful - Elapsed Time 0 mins 00 secs

But is the same.

I think that the problem is with the P-list.

Something happen when resolving the LED problem.

If you know any commands to regenerate the p-list PM me.

Thanks

Hi all HddGurus ,

I have a similar problem but with Seagate drive 7200.12 500 GB , it became non detectable in bios suddenly , i checked this forum and found a solution for this issue via terminal commands , followed that , and now the hard disk is accessible in bios but only first 1 -2 Gb are accessible rest are UNCR with all zeros , i checked in Disk editor and other utils ( MHDD , victoria ) everything after first 1- 2 GB is uncr .

commands used .

cleared smart
N1
cleared Glist
i4,1,22
translator regeneration
m0,2,2,0,0,0,0,22

F3 T>m0,2,2,0,0,0,0,22
Max Wr Retries = 00, Max Rd Retries = 00, Max ECC T-Level = 00, Max Certify Rewrite Retries = 0000

User Partition Format Successful - Elapsed Time 0 mins 00 secs
Zone re-format was skipped.

If plist is damaged then Is there a way to reconstruct it via terminal commands , i know there will be swapped sectors and full data recovery is not possible but is there a way i can have a look at whatever data that is left on the drive , right now its all zeros - uncr !!

I have checked this forum and others for last 3 days and got a lot of info on this subject but its not working in my case , any help on this issue would be appreciated , if you do not want to post the commands pls pm me .

If you want me to post the output of defect list let know which one , in my case V10 gives the Plist , V4 is Glist

Cheers,
Nitin

Hi Gurus,

I got the same problem on a 7200.11.

Only the begining of the disk is readable after LED CC repair.

Please, can someone put me on the way ?
