PCB compatibility for TOSHIBA/Hitachi 3.5" drive

January 28th, 2018, 10:19

Hello,

I have a Toshiba DT01ACA3000 (JAN-2016)

PCB Sticker:
PF00035
TS0242C
K1N549
01B2

PCB REF: 220 0A90380 01

I bought a new PCB with REF 220 0A90380 01 (but I don't know the HDD model).
I transferred the ROM but unfortunately, the PCB didn't work.

Could anyone please, tell which parameter have to match between the patient and the donor PCB for that drive.

Thanks in advance.

There is adhesive tape on the breathe hole.

No, the breathe hole is just under the sticker. I just verified.

I know, so what parameters have to match in order to the drive to spin.

is it true I have to match the drive Model + 2 first line in the white sticker like HITACHI drives?

in PC3K, the BSY light is OFF when I power on the drive.

Thanks in advance for your help.

True.
Maybe they sold you a bad PCB or the ROM swap went wrong.
I always use as a PCB donor a working HDD (with unrepairable bad sectors) to be sure that PCB is OK.
