BIOS can't see HDD. Can hear during boot some "click, click". MHDD can only meassure speed (arr. 5400 OK!), but at all commands return message DRIVE ERROR. Electronics go out? Can I access my data? Must open HDD? And what when open!? Thanks

Hi,
I don't think it is an electronic problem. There are very few cases when electronics cause such problem in this family. I think that it is head related. But head replacement is rather difficult in this model, or rather to find an apropriate head assembly. With 20G it is not so problematic, but with 40G and above really hard.
