Hello there
I have a WD1600AAJS, its PCB 's roasted. I want to change it but I do not want to solder the ROM chip etc, I just want to know which numbers should match, in order for the new pcb to be fully compatible with the disk.
Anyone can please give me this info?
Also, there are two numbers on the PCB, one printed on the circuit and one on a sticker. Which is the most important?
The disk is WD1600AAJS-00PSA0

THANKS!!!

There is no other way around soldering a ROM chip, it is of course, if your drive has one.

Actually, if you take it to a pro, you won't have to worry about anything.

It's like saying that you want to do a valve job on your car, without removing the valve cover . . .

You might get lucky. Then again, you might not . . .
