I have an external USB 2.0 disk 320 gb, Western digital, NTFS file system.

The disk have many bad sectors (clusters), I want to try to repair them or mark clusters as bad.

Please, I need software to fix the disk. Tell me the programs that I have to use.

David

hello,

if you need the disk (and not data), remove the hdd from the enclosure, and plug it in to a pc.
Get the MHDD from the files link, and run it.
Use the REMAP function.
You will have 2 options:
1. the remap will enough and the drive will be fixed, than you can reformat and use it.
2. the G list will full, (the drive will failed), or the drive will die totally

If you need the data, don't do the first case, or anything more alone, ask a pro near you!
In this case, read this:

Selfscan is a completely different thing.

there is no such thing in a program that repairs bad sectors

all these programs do is remap the drive to ignore that sector nothing more.
once the drive fills up with the g-list full of errors the drive will shut down for good.
if your information is located on the bad sector you will get errors.
and be none recoverable.

Cheaper to throw disk in trash and buy a good drive. Look into Samsung. Not worth worrying about this drive and fixing it. Trash it

No. There are pros that refurbish drives professional way. I have request, for example. Such repair is at little cost, even for one piece.

Sorry, may be I do not explain very well the scenario.

I need a program to fix the disk.

I try with many programs: seatools, hddregenerator, hddscan. But i can not find a program that works with external usb drives and repair a disk.

Please help, it is my personal disk, and I want to work with it. Now when I use explore in windows, all will block, when I access to a file that is located in bad clusters.

I need the program or instead only the name of the program to use.

You don't find a thing that doesn't exist, AND you already have tried all the 'drive killers' around...
