Hello everyone, I'm a new member here.
I have a drive that won't spin up. Tried connecting different power supplies to it and nothing. put my ear against the drive and connect power. it's silent.

MDL: WD2500JD-75HBC0
DATE: 10 MAY 2005
DCM: DSCHCTJAA
PCB sticker: 2061-701267-200 AK
PCB print: 2060-701267-001 REV A

Should I replace the PCB and swap U12?

I've found a couple of drives that are close matches but not exactly. For PCB swap, which one of these is the best match:

donor drive 1:
MDL: WD2500JD-75HBC0
DATE: 23 SEP 2005
DCM: DSBHCTJAH
PCB sticker: 2061-701267-200 AM
PCB print: 2060-701267-001 REV A

doner drive 2:
MDL: WD2500JD-75HBC0
DATE: 10 MAY 2005
DCM: DSBACTJAH
i'm waiting for the owner to send the PCB numbers.

Thanks in advance!

The pcb from donor 1 is ok to use, you also need Rom replacement.

Thanks for the help.

I managed to find a donor drive with identical manufacture date and PCB numbers.
Should I attempt to power up the drive without moving U12? Any risk of damage to
the drive?
