hi,
i have one wd 2.5 inch harddisk 500 GB WD5000BEVT, DCM: EBCVJHBB. i connect to power. it spins but make noise. it can not access then i take the lid off. i see the head stick to the platter surface.
i take it out to the parking ramp then put the lid back. i test it again. it Still spins but make noise.

can i use WD 500 GB WD5000BEVT, DCM:HBCVJHBB as doner to change the head?

i swapped the head with my donor drive. it's still the same. any advice?

is it possible that there is power problem to drive the motor so, finally it stop spinning?

There are few things that could make an HDD not spin. It really depends on what is going on. So here is a hint:
An HDD is a device made of several components that are orchestrated to work together to make a drive spin. "Together" testing can throw one off.

The motor is likely not the problem.
