Hello guys

My maxtor hard drive is not detecting even it was detecting when i attached with my computer time ago.

I don't care about my drive but all i need to recover my all data which is in my hard disk... is there any chance i can recover it. ( drive is not spinning).

I check all the method , cabling but nothing worked for me.


Please help .

Is there a chance you can recover it? Possibly, depending on your skill level, the tools you have access to, etc... Based on what you've said, and not said, Assuming it isn't something super simple (Bad power supply, computer not plugged in, etc), it's likely something you won't be able to do.

Is there a chance that a professional can recover your data? More than likely.

Try only connecting power not data cable. If starts, data cable is reversed or ide controller failing. If the hdd doesn't start on other pc, the disk has to be serviced.

your more likely looking at a preamp head break down

its a common problem with maxtor hard drives
