I have a Samsung SV4002H, 40GB , Victor Hard disk drive.

Suddenly it gives Clicking Noise. not detected


Terminal Shows the
sAL + 1020
c: 004E H:00

sAL + 1020
c: 004E H:00

sAL + 1020
c: 0051 H:00 ...

In which area the problem is?

Data is important.

can be anything from corrupt firmware which in your case is very unlikely or preamp damaged

not detected there no information getting to the head at all

if you need the information of the drive pay some $$$$$$$$$$ on a another logic board of the same type

Replaced the same type PCB but the same terminal error is continue.

Can you read the m/c ? If not, head gone. Could even be a corrupted rom. Check for content. Also, check the error lists.

How to check the m/c machine code? and error lists. is any specific command on the dbg> debug mode?

New strange behaviour, I have same type of pcb in the 20gb samsung hard drive. the 40gb(failure) hard drive pcb is working fine in the 20gb hard disk.

but the 20gb hard disk pcb is not working on the my failure 20gb hard disk drive.

This is not too interesting.

Some of the board have newer fw part for loading the platter-pairs...

Pcbs may be identical, some difference is in rom. Maintenance cylinder aka m/c can't be accessed in debug, need some tool like pc3000 or so.

I have pc3k tool. but new for that.
Can you give me tips or step for checking?

Wich ATA registers show´s after that log?
