What makes you think it's firmware problem?

And also, what do you propose doing with said firmware if you're given it?

The HD in question is not being detected in the BIOS, I've tested all components of the PCB, when this happens the problem is in the firmware ROM PCB that due to some electrical problem blew out the basic program HDD operation.

provide more details;

does drive spin up with original PCB ?
If yes what is the behaviour of drive ? e.g clicking or busy ?
what equipment/tools you have ?

If problem is with pcb, you can find a compatible pcb and transfer the ROM if it has one and you should be able to get the data, assuming there is no physical problem with the disk.
