He may have an excellent and highly accurate point. The suffering of hundreds of thousands of people, maybe millions, who didn't back up their new huge dooded up giant magneto resistive head technology glass platter drives, given the reduced chances of successful recovery from oxide dust lying on the bottom of the HDA from the scratched glass...

Perhaps someone will discover a new physical universal constant that will, when combined with the Heisenberg uncertainty principle, allow the dust to be reassembled properly so that the data can be recovered. Nanites to reassemble the dust like a jigsaw puzzle, perhaps.
