Disk was knocked over by client. It is my first time I have really looked at a Seagate terminal, and what I have seen looks to confirm HSA problems. Disk spins up but is unseen in Bios. Makes my Atola Insight crash on powercycle! ICRC and INDF light red. Any tips please ;)

If problem started when knocked over then I vote for scratch on SA or platter knocked out of alignment. I've seen that error caused by multiple different things though.

My vote is bad HSA (heads cannot write). Actually you could try to read data via terminal and active utility, but this is very slow process.

The drive can't read SA.

Either it's bad heads, or scratch in SA. or both. I would Check the platters for any obvious scratches and change the heads.

I would tried to did a test head before any attempt

Last time when i see this, it was a pretty good scratch in the SA. :(
I suggest to take a look inside, before power on again, preventing the more damages....
If you see in, you can take a look to the heads too. ;)

thanks guys. I'll take a peak inside. It certainly is tough understanding the possibilities of terminal. I am going to take a few other Seagates I have lying around and play. Aside from the "7200.10 and earlier doc" is there any other documentation with specific test sets that I could be pointed to?
