WD3200AAJS Recovery

Hello,
I've a WD3200AAJS Hard Disc, which has its connectors and the electric board probably
burnt...I want to replace the electric board with WD800AAJS...
would it match? or are there other details which i should check ?

What soldering equipment do you have ?
You will need more than a soldering iron.

u need to flash your rom with different firmware.

can i replace ROM also ?
do you know what ROM's symbol ? is it 'U' or 'QFP' ?

The symbol in the PCB white print is U.
But not all pcb have external rom, some have internal in the MCU wich is U too. :)
