My old drive had froze up
Seagate Barracuda 7200.10
S/N 6qg3ekc6
ST3400820AS
Firmware: 3.AAD
400 gig
I received a replacement from Seagate since it was under warranty although it was not exactly the same, I had taken apart the back of the drive and switched them and my old drive started up. But I couldn't get the BIOS to "see" the drive.. I assume its the firm ware that is not letting me into the drive. Can anyone help Please????/

I never set a password. The damn thing locked up on a linux install that went awry. So, is there a default password? Seagate tools say it is security locked.
BIOS sees the HD, windows sees it under Hardware, but drive doesn't show up under "my computer". I read the lock prevents it from showing up. I can't install reinstall linux either. Kinda hosed.
