July 30th, 2009, 19:26

Hi all !

I did some very stupid.
backed up all modules and groups from drive then written back, but...
only after power cycle i realized that ALL my tools
read module #33,#37,#A7 just a bunch of 00000 (nulls)

6Y080L04225611
Y2BX0VXE
N,M,C,A
YAR41BW0

it has no important data, i am just collecting some drives for playing with raid5
what do you know about this bug ? can i fix my drive somehow myself ?
(thinking about hot swap, just dont know what will the tools write)

What 'tools' do you have? According to that, we can do something.

I would put a fresh FW and then selfscan it... (kills data but the drive can be usable again)
Be careful refreshing the FW.

Or you can switch to SA-C and SS from there that will rebuild fresh SA .

It can be done without selfscanning if the drive had no SA defects. (provided that only those 3 mods were zapped, everything else is fine)
