hi all
i have a drive thatg would not show id and any data.
i started with pc3000 and was able to use the recovery tool to get the drive to show below

HDD Recovery thru LDR uploading
LDR downloading......................... : Ok
1B overlay loading...................... : Ok
1C overlay loading...................... : Ok
ROM Copy loading........................ : Ok
HDD Soft Reset
Overlaies loading....................... : Ok
HDD Soft Reset
LDR Loading............................. : Ok
Model................................... : Maxtor CALYPSO
FW...................................... : YAR41BW0

Roadmap reading......................... : Ok
Zone allocation table reading........... : Ok
DISK module initialization from recovery : Ok
Model................................... : Maxtor 6Y120L3
FW...................................... : YAR41BW0
Heads map............................... : 3

SA Defects checking Copy0............... : Module 37 reading error. UBA 4 (1) reading error. Drive is not ready
SA Defects checking Copy1............... : Module 37 reading error. UBA 44908 (1) reading error. Drive is not ready
SA Defects reading error
DISK reading............................ : DISK (Copy0) reading error: Module 1F reading error. UBA 8 (1) reading error. Drive is not ready
DISK reading............................ : DISK (Copy1) reading error: Module 1F reading error. UBA 15936 (1) reading error. Drive is not ready

Recovery process has been interrupted



from there i cant go any further.
during drive startup it will clikc and spin down several times and then show me the above after the firmwre repair.

after it starts up it bewcmoes ready, stops clickng but cant go any firther.

any thoughts will eb appreciated.

just noticed there is a big scratch on the drive right where the heads are parking.

any hope ?
