Data recovery and disk repair questions and discussions related to old-fashioned SATA, SAS, SCSI, IDE, MFM hard drives - any type of storage device that has moving parts

Hi guys,
As you can see there is damage to the PCB and I am performing a PCB swap (Luckily this drive came from a server and had an identical pair)
I need some help identifying which chip contains the ROM and needs to be transplanted?
I figured it would either be in location A, B or C (But I could be completely wrong).
Many thanks,
DR

@ thatdellguy..
I cant help but be reminded of the saying:-
"Give a man a meal and he will feed himself for a day - Give him the right tools, and he'll feed himself for a lifetime"
I think Franc's answer was more beneficial - in the long term.
just my 2 cents....

I stand by my post. Just pointing out the obvious that happens quite often.

I was going to just say

Sometimes
do
it
yourself means just that.
With the details found on each ic and a simple search it would be easy to work out which is the rom device.

If you were searching for a "ROM" device, you would be unlikely to find a "flash memory". ;-)
