Hi All
got a drive in that is clicking continsually,
replaced ehads and drive came good and showed id straight away, all sounds good

started to image drive and within a couple of minutes it started having reading issues while imaging forward, changed this to reverse and once again drive imaged will for a couple of minutes, then it stoped imaging all together.

restarted drive
it has gone back to clicking 10 times with the following in terminal, after it clicks 10 timss it remains spinning

capacity is identified as 0mb

DId the heads "survive" ? (put back on donor / check with microscope)
If not, you have (as most likely happens) media damage, if yes there can be non-supercritical damage BUT / AND the problem is just adaptives AND maybe if the drive was dropped, a bit of "mechanical".

With these heads can you read with no issues or hiccups the SA ?

Thank you for the answer,
here is the initeresting bit, after writing the post i had restarted the drive again, even though it went on to click for 11 times, this time it came ready and showed full id, i was able to get a full drive backup of resources.
built head map of drive and started imaging by heads, head map is 0 1 2 3, head 1 will not image so i disabled this and built a full image of the other 3 heads,
this morning drive is back to same issue as before, so going to place heads back into donor to see what happens and see if they are still ok.
