Ma scusa non fai prima a ripararlo ? A meno che non ci sia problemi di superficie io non ci penserei su due volte. O non trovi un donatore ?

Isn't it easier to fix the drive ? Unless there's media problem I wouldn't think twice about it. Or is the problem lack of donor ?

It's a Media Problem, already head swapped twice, same result. Two platters are demaged or heads there can't find SERVO and do not let drive read more than few sectors without hang the drive ( or go to busy, or motor spin down)
At Power ON, drive ID correctly with difficoulties and rumors, i can reach sectors readable but when i ask a sector of one head demaged, drive hang. without head map nothing to do.
