Linux-Install on Samsung HE753LJ

April 18th, 2013, 7:34

Hello @ All,

I'm new here, don't know if it's the right place but, you can help me (maybe).

I Install Linux (in the passt) on the Samsung HE753LJ by previous uninstall of the packages "dmraid" & "libdmraid" from installation-USB-stick.

Now I cannot install Kubuntu 13.04 even using the mentioned trick.

1. Do you know if exist (maybe) a new firmaware for this HDD in order to can be seen by Linux-Installation?
2. Do you know any other trick/work-around to enable the detection from Linux-side?

Thanks in advance and best regards, Arny

Agree !
This is NOT a firmware issue.
Try to 0-fill (format) the drive first and install the linux on the drive then.

0-fill (format): smart response!
